P. A. Ballard would resign on March 31, 1913 due to his pending impeachment trial. A. L. Welch was appointed to the fill the vacancy on April 28th and served the remainder of the term.
The results in Swanson County were Ballard 515, Burns 308, Maple 212.
Oklahoma's election ledgers for 1926 and earlier often have mistakes where the county by county figures do not add up exactly to the stated totals. The stated total for Burns is 93,778 but the county figures add up to 93,783.
