The canvass gives Babnik's statewide total as 496 but this must be a mistake. The stated total of number votes for all candidates requires that Babnik's total be 498 and this is also the figure given in the 1901 Blue Book (although the Blue Book's election figures from this era can be unreliable).
The 1901 Blue Book misspells Kerswill's name as "Kerswell" and also misstates his figure in Marinette County along with his statewide total.
