Election Notes:

There were recounts in Rio Arriba, San Juan, and Taos counties. The original statewide totals were for 150,805 for Montoya and 151,093 for Bolack. The superseding figures were added with red ink to the canvass. The photocopy in New Mexico Election Returns 1911-1969 shows these corrections but they are essentially impossible to discern. The original oversize canvass is available in the State Archives, however.
