Obama with strong lead in WA overall, landslide among caucus voters

Which of the remaining Democratic candidates for President do you most support? (names rotated) Hillary Clinton? Or, Barack Obama?

Poll Demographics
1,200 state of WA adults were interviewed 02/02/08 and 02/03/08. Interviews conducted before and after but not during Super Bowl on 02/03/08. Of the adults, 1,026 were registered to vote. Of them, 409 said they considered themselves Republicans. 575 said they considered themselves Democrats. Republicans were asked which Republican they support. Democrats were asked which Democrat they support. Voters who said they were neither Democrats nor Republicans, and who therefore would not be eligible to caucus, were not asked a candidate preference.

About this Poll
Washington state Democrats back Barack Obama by 13 points and Washington state Republicans back John McCain by 14 points, according to SurveyUSA polling conducted immediately prior to Super Tuesday voting in other states around the country. Among WA Democrats, Obama leads Hillary Clinton 53% to 40%. Among WA Republicans, McCain leads Mitt Romney 40% to 26%. Of registered voters, approximately 1/4th say they will caucus on 02/09/08. By comparison, about 7/8ths say they will vote in the state primaries on 02/19/08. Among Republicans who say they will caucus, Romney runs stronger than McCain. Among Democrats who say they will caucus, Obama has a 22-point lead over Clinton.
