About this PollThe Detroit Free Press-Local 4 Michigan Poll was conducted Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings by Selzer & Co. Inc. of Des Moines, Iowa. Results are based on telephone interviews with 532 adults who said they would definitely vote in the Nov. 7 election and people who had already voted by absentee ballot. The margin of error for the poll is plus or minus 4.3 percentage points. Respondents were selected on a random basis. The poll represents what Michiganders were thinking on the days it was conducted and is not intended to predict the outcome on Election Day.
